Marina Antunes [Celluloid 04.05.21] Argentina post apocalyptic action thriller

Scavenger is the feature film debut of writer/directors Eric Fleitas and Luciana Garraza and while the movie is clearly a scrappy, low-budget affair, it looks like a pretty promising, under-the-radar PA thriller.

The movie unfolds in a brutal, post-apocalyptic world where Tisha, an assassin and organ dealer, "seeks revenge for a crime that marked her life."

The trailer doesn't offer much in the way of a plot but it does feature some fairly impressive cinematography and solid production design.

While it's awfully reminiscent in style to Mad Max, I'm rather curious to see how Fleitas and Garraza have made this their own.

Scavenger will be available on VOD on May 11.

looks godawful here's a small tip, when making a wasteland movie, at least let the actors have dirty faces, missing teeth..
