Marina Antunes [Celluloid 05.16.18] horror drama



Though I really liked Gaspar Noe's Enter the Void, I completely checked out of Love; the concept of a 3D movie about sex did nothing for me, but I must admit, I'm intrigued by Noe's new offering Climax.


Part of the appeal is the first poster which knowingly encapsulates the general audience reactions to Noe's previous movies. The fact that Noe is always pushing the envelope and trying new things is also a plus but the teaser trailer, which doesn't really provide much in way of what this is about, has sold me.


Seems the movie unfolds at a party with pretty girls, a crazy DJ, a kid, snow and some bad sangria.




There will, undoubtedly, be more on the project in the coming months. A24 has picked up the movie for North American release so expect an interesting marketing campaign to come.
