John Connor [Celluloid 10.10.17] scifi action adventure

Rian Johnson (Looper) directs the follow-up to J.J. Abrams' franchise re-starter, The Force Awakens. We liked the Force Awakens enough, but agreed with Marina that it played it safe, hewing a bit to closely to the originally trilogy's tropes to ensure everyone had something to enjoy.

This new long trailer for Johnson's film is a lot darker tonally and actually hints at (maybe) a couple of big character twists including a (maybe) a shifting allegiance in Rey.

The further adventures of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theatres December 15, 2017.

Am I the only one not feeling the new blood---or the stories of these latest two Star Wars chapters? They seem to be seriously veering off into Marvel or DC strategy of convoluting the plots with way too much going on and way too many characters and their stories.

well well well...
looks good and evil side is coming to the front because Rey has teenage issues.
Look forward to it. Hope no one loses a hand, Luke doesn't die silly, and Jar Jar isn't in the film.
