Christopher Webster [Celluloid 05.01.17] post apocalyptic horror drama

A24, the distributor with great taste that has released films like Green Room, The Witch, Ex Machina and many others, looks to have a new hit on their hands with It Comes at Night directed by Trey Edward Shults (Krisha) and starring Joel Edgerton.

The film just had its premier at the Overlook Films Festival and appears to be a big hit. A24 also just released a new trailer which you can see below, but the biggest surprise for me is that the reviews have been describing the film as post-apocalyptic when I only thought it was a horror flick... am I the only one who missed this?

Secure within a desolate home as an unnatural threat terrorizes the world, a man has established a tenuous domestic order with his wife and son, but this will soon be put to test when a desperate young family arrives seeking refuge.

The first trailer definitely made it look more like a mystery. I am glad it is coming out as a PA, though.
