It's official, folks. Stranger Things season 2 is coming in 2017 according to this official teaser trailer from Netflix.

The teaser trailer includes mysterious title cards that read: "Madmax," "The Boy Who Came Back to Life," "The Pumpkin Patch," "The Palace," "The Storm," "The Pollywog," "The Secret Cabin," "The Brain," and "The Lost Brother."

Many are speculating that these are episode titles, but one still wonders what they could mean. Certainly they elude to more cinematic homages.

In an interview following the announcement, the show's creators confirmed that new characters will be introduced in season 2 and new towns will be explored.

Stranger Things was created by Matt and Ross Duffer as a love letter to the Amblin era films of the '80s along with Stephen King and flavors of John Carpenter.

And while we're on the subject, I can't recommend the Differ's PA flick HIDDEN enough (review).
