Christopher Webster [Celluloid 05.03.16] scifi thriller

Director David Bruckner (who I recently interviewed for an episode of The Quietcast), who was part of the team who brought us the awesome apocalyptic triptych, The Signal, and who directed a segment in the recent horror anthologies Southbound and VHS, has teamed with Epic Pictures to produce a new sci-fi thriller called Oswald.

Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson of Epic Pictures will produce the film, whose story is being kept a secret at this point.

“We’re excited to be working with David (Bruckner) as his vision for his film fits squarely in our wheelhouse. While a true thriller, I think Oswald will also get a lot of people thinking about how they view the advancements of tech,” said Berenson, whose Epic Pictures aquired world wide rights to the film.

"I believe Oswald has found the perfect home at Epic Pictures. They share a deep appreciation for mind bending sci-fi and a willingness to explore challenging topics through the Science Fiction genre. I'm overwhelmingly excited to begin this process," says Bruckner in the press release.

More as it comes, folks!
