Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures and Sony Screen Gems have teamed up to present Don't Breathe, the latest horror film by Fede Alvarez who handled the reigns on the extremely successful, if controversial, remake of Evil Dead.

Don't Breathe was a critical success out of SXSW this year, the story of a group of teens who break into a blind man’s home (played by Stephen Lang) being hailed as a wonderful Hitchcockian suspense thriller more than a straight up horror film.

Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they break into his home, the tables are turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own.

Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues wrote the script and the film stars Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette (Prisoners, Let Me In) and Daniel Zovatto (It Follows).

Don't Breathe opens August 26th, 2016.

I'm all in, the ED remmake was fan-freaking-tastic. Levy too? Yep I'm there.

Right there with you. The ED remake was well done and this looks intense, claustrophobic and suspensful.

As you guys probably know by now, this did turn out really well. I hope the failure of "The girl in the spider's web" didn't kill Alvarez' career.
