In a film inspired by early Spielberg and the sci-fi spirit of the early 80s, Jeff Nichols' new film, Midnight Special, sees Michael Shannon and Kirsten Dunst as father and mother of a very powerful boy who go on the run when they discover just how special he really is.
Also starring Joel Edgerton and Adam Driver, the first trailer has premiered following the first poster and image we showed you last week. Around here, Nichols' is considered something of a genius (particularly with Shotgun Stories and Take Shelter), so we're intrigued at this new direction.
Synopsis:
A father (Michael Shannon) and son go on the run after learning his child possesses special powers.
Midnight Special opens in theaters March 18th, 2016.
