Starring Chloë Grace Moretz (Carrie, Let Me In) and based on the bestselling novel by Rick Yancey, The 5th Wave is about four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks that have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, a girl named Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.
A mostly independently financed joint, this alien invasion actioner kind of snuck up on us, however the first look is pretty enticing with glimpses of the alien threat
Synopsis:
In the new film The 5th Wave, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.
The 5th Wave hits theatres January 2016. Until then here's the first international trailer.
Recommended Release: Falling Skies: Season 4

Tired aliens inhabiting human hosts storyline.

I liked the first 4 waves. Then the 5th wave made me role my eyes.
I'll wait for reviews.

So I just got done with the first book. I liked it.
I think I like these YA books more than the movies. The book is like R rated (Might be because of my imagination) but I'm sure, like The Hunger Games, it will be toned down to sell more tickets.
At least in the first book there is no love triangle, which I dislike in YA stuff. I'm sure the triangle will appear a lot in book two though.
Also I guess I got the waves mixed up. The 5th wave isn't in the trailer. And aliens inhabiting humans, been done before... but it makes sense in the story.
I'm now looking forward to the movie.
