Marina Antunes [Cathode Ray Mission 07.11.15] horror comedy



Starz has been doing a pretty good job of teasing fans about their upcoming revival of everyone's favourite man with a chainsaw hand: Ash. This year's SDCC is being particularly good to us, what with all of "The Walking Dead" footage yesterday, and today, we get the first real look at "Ash vs. Evil Dead" and it looks... well it looks fantastic.


Bruce Campbell will reprise his role as Ash, a stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the past three decades avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons — personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its evil grip.

The show also stars Lucy Lawless who also happens to make an appearance in this first extended trailer which has taken me from being mildly curious about the show to being fully on board with the show. The footage is funny, chalk full of zingy one liners and violent as all hell.


"Ash vs. Evil Dead" premieres October 31.
