Christopher Webster [Celluloid 01.26.15] United Kingdom drama arthouse avant-garde



As previously mentioned, UK's Cat's Eyes provided the soundtrack to Peter Strickland’s sumptuous new thriller "The Duke Of Burgundy" (review) and have released the film's opening credits in their entirety as the group's official video.


Cat's Eyes (Faris Badwan of The Horrors and Rachel Zeffira) wrote the score for for the film which is set for release digitally and on vinyl on 16th February on RAF and Caroline Records.


The film, starring Borgen’s Sidse Babett Knudsen and Chiara D’Anna, will be released in UK cinemas a few days later on the of 20th February.


Strickland clearly has an eye for the vintage and a knack for searching out the right musicians to bring his vision to life. For his last film, Berberian Sound Studio, he recruited Warp recording artists, Broadcast, who did a fab job.
