Patrick Stewart is an unlikely social media superstar but while some folks are happy to fan over the actor's latest tweets, Stewart has been keeping busy in everything from theatre to TV and from the looks of it, movies too and his latest role is unlike anything he's played before.

Stewart is starring in Jeremy Saulnier's sophomore feature Green Room. The follow-up to the fantastically successful Blue Ruin, Saulnier's latest sees Stewart as Darcy Banker, the leader of a white supremacist group base in the Pacific Northwest. The story follows a punk band that ends up stranded at a venue being hunted down by Banker's gang who are looking to eliminate all witnesses to a crime.

Along with Stewart, Green Room also stars Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, Mark Webber, Kai Lennox, Eric Edelstein, and Macon Blair.

Stay tuned for more on the project but for now, check out the first still which has Stewart front and center looking like a mean SOB. And if you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favour and check out Blue Ruin.
