Marina Antunes [Cathode Ray Mission 11.12.14] drama history

I know they keep saying that there are Amazon produced projects on Amazon Prime but I have a hard time believing it because I can't figure out when the pilots that are selected for series order start to air. So far, I've only been interested in one of Amazon's offerings, Chris Carter's "The After" (review), but the actual show has yet to appear and there has been no update on when it might come.

While we wait for the show that we hope will eventually appear, Amazon is enticing us non-believers with more goodies for pilot season and out of the batch of new offerings, there's one of particular interest to us here at Quiet Earth and that title is none other than Philip K. Dick's "The Man In The High Castle."

Ridley Scott has been trying to get Dick's classic alternative history story of what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II, onto TV screens for years and he's finally getting his chance with Amazon. The pilot is being written by Frank Spotnitz of "The X-Files" fame and directed by David Semel, both of whom will also be executive producing.

Among the cast are some intriguing names including Rupert Evans, Joel De La Fuente, Rufus Sewell and DJ Qualls among others.

It's definitely sounding promising so we'll be keeping a close eye on this new Amazon offering and will be sure to let you know when this and "The After" finally emerge.

You had me at D.J. Qualls- he's the main reason I watch Z Nation.
Now who's going to tackle the film adaptation of Dr. Bloodmoney?
