Buzz around the bootleg trailer for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming Biblical based epic Noah was not very positive. Throw in rumblings that Anorofsky and Paramount are still battling over the final cut of the movie and it is certainly enough to give one a bit of pause. But this is Aronosfsky and he's trumped expectation on numerous occasions so I'm more than willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. It certainly helps that these two new trailers are looking more like huge scale apocalyptic action than religious story.
Russell Crowe turns in his cape for leather to play Noah, the man who gets the message to build the ark before the waters rise to wipe out most of humanity and everything else on earth. Alongside him are Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ray Winstone.
I like the large scope of the trailer and the gigantic special effects, not a typical thing for Aronofsky, look impressive. I do prefer the UK version of the trailer (the second one below) which is more doom and gloom than the US version.
Noah opens March 28, 2014.

I have to admit I'm compelled by this dichotomy of the end being the beginning, and how difficult that concept is for us mortals to accept or grasp.
I think this movie will ultimately be a major success, but it's just not for me.

I don't find the concept of the end being the beginning hard at all. It's been theme of a lot of PA media. Think about the end of the second Mad Max movie. The idea of creation destruction is well known in some circles. It's an fascinating subject. That said I'm not sure this movie will be a success. As far as star power they have some pretty big names, but that doesn't automatically turn into box office. I wont see it, not because the theme of the movie it just I'm very selective about what I'll go and see. I will keep an eye on this one.

hehe Hollywood pushing the Jewish BS of history go Hollywood get the best actors here's tons of money let's make a movie on Noah! A man that some how built a boat that had two of every kind of creature to save from a flood that...wait a second what??!! Some how I heard this tale before? Sumeria? Egypt? Damn Floods! Atlantis sink because of a flood?
The movie looks like it will be Epic hope it's not a total drama though. I believe in the director he is insanely talented!

I think it would be a minor miracle if this project is a commercial success!
