Marina Antunes [Celluloid 09.10.13] horror thriller fantasy

It seems we've been waiting years for Alexandre Aja's Horns and truthfully, it's been a while since we've seen or heard anything about the adaptation of Joe Hill's book. Last we heard, the movie was nearly done shooting last December and though it has been wrapped in post-production hell, Horns has finally been seen by the public - it premiered at TIFF last week.

The movie stars Daniel Radcliffe as Ig, a typical guy who, after the brutal murder of his longtime girlfriend Merrin (Juno Temple), wakes up one morning having sprouted horns that compel people to share with him their darkest secrets. Ig soon realizes the power of his new gifts and is determined to use them to find his girlfriend's killer and clear his name.

We were pretty excited about the announcement and that excitement has continued to grow, fueled by the fact that we haven't seen very much from the production. We'll likely get a trailer in the coming weeks but for now, check out the first clip from Horns which features Ig asking for help and instead facing the end of a gun barrel.

Stay tuned for release details to come.
