Christopher Webster [Celluloid 08.29.13] action thriller adventure

Pandorum and Antibodies director, Christian Alvart, has made a movie about Germany's first female bank robber in the 60s-set thriller, Bank Lady. Being a massive fan of all Alvart's films (yes, including Case 39), I've had my eye on Bank Lady for a year or so, but now that the film has found worldwide distribution in Munich-based sales group, Global Screen, it looks like we may actually get to see it soon.

Bank Lady tells "the story of Gisela Werler, a factory worker from Hamburg who becomes a notorious bank robber, portrayed as a cunning and glamorous bandit, thanks to the various disguises, wigs and film-star sunglasses worn during heists. Werler takes ever greater risks, with lover Hermann in tow, while police inspector Fisher is close on her heels." (variety)

No trailer yet, but you can take a gander at an early temp poster below.

More as it comes, folks!
