Marina Antunes [Celluloid 04.29.13] scifi action

We may still be months away from the premiere of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim but that doesn't mean the marketing machine is slowing down.

In addition to the previously released trailers, Warner Brothers has released the footage which originally screened at WonderCon. Some of it is familiar but there's also quite a bit of new material not to mention a lot more of the story and the a whole lot of talking rather than all giant robot on monster action. There's also a clearer look at the action and from what's on display, this is looking better all the time.

Pacific Rim opens July 12.

This trailer is finally starting to make me enthusiastic, but at the same time I fear it is going to end up over the edge of Avenger style action > content.

Why Hollywood is always so dumb?

Why are you so dumb questioning a movie showcasing fights of giant robots vs giant monsters from another dimension? Just ask that to yourself.
