Marina Antunes [Celluloid 06.25.12] scifi horror thriller

Tyson Johnston is at it again. He impressed us last year with the fantastic first contact short film Exit (see it here) and he's back at it with another short film, this time taking humanity into space.

The year is 2071 and we colonization has started on Gaia but in space, things have a tendency to go wrong, especially when humanity thinks they can waltz in and simply set up shop on new land. From the looks of things in the trailer for Seed, Johnston's new short film due for release in July, someone already beat humans to the planet and they're not happy to have company.

I'm thrilled to see that Johnston is continuing in the sci-fi vein. At this rate, he's setting himself up nicely for a jump into full length feature territory and if the projects we've seen to date are any indication, it's going to be a thing of glorious spectacle. I can't wait to see the full film.
