Marina Antunes [Celluloid 03.09.11] movie trailer news short drama

At some point, I’m sure that the use of NIN in trailers is going to start rubbing me the wrong way (on occasion, it already does), but when it’s used as effectively as it is in the trailer for Christopher Fisher and Christopher Heffernan’s short film, I simply appreciate that someone dug up a slightly more obscure tune. But we’re not here to talk about the music. We’re here to take a look at the trailer for Fisher & Heffernan’s film titled Tempo.

The twelve minute short has been submitted to festivals (good luck guys) but we’ve got a look at what the duo and their team have put together and it’s definitely intriguing. Here’s the official synopsis:

Reports of terrifying screams and industrial noise draw an assault team to action on a vast western farmland. Once deployed, the horrific and unsettling secrets of the labyrinthine field attack and corrupt the clarity of the mission and the unit. Separated, lost, and overwhelmed, one officer is forced to push forward, passing reason and protocol, into confrontation. Beset on all sides, blind and raw instinct guide his hand. He is not alone.

I like this trailer quite a bit and am curious to know what on earth the deal is with the woman in the red robe.

Trailer after the break.

I don't even have to start the video to see that the guy's helmet is crooked... and every shot after that... it wasn't fixed.
Come on guys... A little effort can go a long way.

The farm with the plastic sheeting has the feel of drug cooking operation to me...and a war on all fronts sounds like the war on drugs...maybe they've stumbled into a batch of new drug that makes everyone crazy.
