Max Pachman, the man behind the excellent post apocalyptic short 16th Street (watch in full here, which I actually bust out now and then to watch, has returned with a promo for a feature he's trying to get done. The script is finished and Max is just starting to send it out with the promo. It revolves around children, and the last is just bloody excellent. and no, it doesn't look like kids stuff.
Wait for it, it's at the end.
RED HAVEN is about an escaped group of children who trek through alien-controlled earth in search of the last human city. In the spirit of RED DAWN and WAR OF THE WORLDS, the piece tells the gritty and emotional story of the leadership struggles and friendships that develop and fall apart as children are thrust into a situation they are unprepared for.
Promo after the break.

Wow I really hope this gets made, this is nothing like Red Dawn. The kids are much younger and this looked to be a much better movie. They should do something about the Aliens (Real let down). With the rash of alien invasion flicks most of which look really good could we be seeing an Alien Invasion Renaissance?

bad dog (10 years ago) Reply
Pretty well done, has an interesting Lord of the Flies art house edge to it, and the kids were better actors than in many of the movies I see profiled on this site. I'd watch it!

Pachman is the shit!!! Somebody fund this flick NOW!!! Ths'll be big

Amen

I guess everything that stars children is comparable to Lord of the flies? Thats the stupidest thing I've heard since the last time bad dog posted.
The children were ok actors but all that was forgotten as soon as you see those stupid looking aliens.
I'll pass.

@uncleB: It's flattering that you're obsessed with me. Do you lie in your bed all night tossing and turning, planning the perfect comeback? What a fruity little troll you are. You're accomplishing nothing except giving me the entertainment of putting a teabagging Republican's panties in a knot. Nobody cares about our "feud" except you.
But do go ahead, this is a valuable use of your time.

this looks goooood, i am generally in with an alien movie, and this one looks like it has some interesting twists and turn..plus Pachman has already established good track record, btw, i agree with lord of flies reference - could be cool with alien script(sorry UncleB)
