A man walks the wasteland motivated by a desperate search to find other people. He keeps himself sane by talking to his teddy. Is director Jeremy Rush saying that we need each other to make our world complete? Well, the newcomer is on the eve of releasing the very promising looking short, No Road to Follow so we'll have to wait until it premieres to see just what it's all about.
We do, however, have the first teaser trailer for the film. There is no dialogue, but the well lensed images and pounding soundtrack are striking enough to have us intrigued.
Synopsis:
25 years after the apocalypse, a lone survivor scavenges a life from an urban wasteland. His only companion: a hand-mended teddy bear named “Other.†After discovering mysterious signs of other survivors, the Scorched Man departs the ruined city in search of the others.
Making his way across the wasteland, the Scorched Man finds a new optimism when he discovers footprints in the desert earth. Following these tracks and his own expectations, into the vast and remote desert wilderness, leads to untold dangers, immeasurable obstacles, and ultimately a revelation even bigger than the journey itself.
Rush tells us No Road to Follow will be released Q4 2010. It stars Seth Ayott as the wanderer.
trailer after the break.
Visit the film's official site for more information.

I like what I see so far. Maybe good, maybe not. I'm somewhat optimistic.

Who did the music? It's very good. There's no mention of the composer on the title card of the teaser trailer or on the website.

Wow... That actually looks really good. Especially the video quality.
The music is very reminiscent of Bear McCreary or Richard Gibbs(who did BSG)

Jeremy Rush (11 years ago) Reply
The trailer music is by composer Steven M. Stern, and from a stock music catalog. I edited the song and customized it a bit.
Thanks for all the comments. And thanks to "agentorange" for the article.
Updates at www.jeremyrush.com
Thanks.

Looks interesting. The flick also looks like it could use an extra character, or two, though. -Mike

Re: Tensen01 "The music is very reminiscent of Bear McCreary or Richard Gibbs(who did BSG)".
Just finishing up season 1 and had to Google this topic to see if there were any law suits. It's incredible how much their ripping of McCreary. I don't know the legal aspect of music copyright, but it's like they play the exact 3-4 same notes, then change it up before it becomes an infringement.
