Chris Smiths latest thriller, the loopy, mind popping Triangle (review) impressed me so much that I'm certainly looking forward to his apocalyptic middle ages plague flick, Black Death. With the film seeing release in the UK on February 25, 2010, a flurry of stills have emerged. No trailer yet, but I'm sure it's not far behind.

Synopsis:
Set in an apocalyptic medieval world, this is the story of a band of brothers whose quest is to hunt down a necromancer against the backdrop of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England. A young monk is sent to investigate rumors of people being brought back to life, meanwhile a mercenary arrives in the same village. Against the backdrop of the peaceful village lies a pact with the forces of darkness, orchestrated by the village ruler.

Black Death stars a veritable who's who of British talent including Sean Bean, Carice Van Houten, Eddie Redmayne, David Warner, Kimberley Nixon and John Lynch.

yer i thought the same thing. i cant wait to hav a movie nite with this, solomon kane and valhalla rising!!!!! kick ass!

What you said, rek. And what I just said on a previous page. This will be a profitable film eventually and will archive and be revived. Word of mouth will make it so.
