Christopher Webster [Celluloid 09.06.09] post apocalyptic movie news poster



I know one-sheets aren't the most exciting news in the world (especially after those five stellar clips dropped last week), but since we've been covering every detail of The Road's production for almost two years now I figured why stop now. Plus I actually like these posters a lot, mostly because they are pretty much the opposite of what I would have expected with their use of so much white space.

Synopsis:
A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind and water. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the warmer south, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless cannibalistic bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a rusting shopping cart of scavenged food--and each other.

The Road premieres in the US on October 16, 2009. Check out all the posters after the break.
