"I love it when a plan comes together! Muahahaha!" This is how I imagine Tron 2 director Joseph Kosinski right now. Exclaiming evil genius laughter as he rubs his hands together in Mr. Burns-style delight.

According to First Showing (via Upcoming Film Scores), French electronica artists, Daft Punk, have been confirmed by Disney as having been recruited to score the much anticipated film. That's really all you need to know on the subject. If you're familiar with the enigmatic duo who never show themselves unless dressed up like robots, you'll know why this is pretty rad (as long as the score isn't too ravetastic that is) and if you don't know them, track down their recent film Electroma.

As the French would say, "Super Cool!"

Boring yes, but proves they ain't your typical electro crap. It's like Air scoring Copolla's Virgin Suicides; perfect fit.
