quietearth [Celluloid 12.22.08] movie news drama



I'm excited about this for 2 reasons, the first being it's written and directed by Reginald Harkema who did the fantastic Monkey Warfare, and the second reason is simply the storyline. By the looks of it it's going to be a period piece which is loosely based on the Manson cult. There's not much info available right now but it is currently in production, let's hope we see some more soon!

Perry, a sheltered chemical engineer, falls in love with Leslie, a former homecoming princess, when he is selected as a jury member at her hippie death cult murder trial.

There's a demo reel after the break which gives a little taste of some of the inspiration for the film.
