I made a mistake last year by choosing not to report on Rob Zombie's Halloween remake which I absolutely loved, in fact I was rooting for Michael the entire film, so I'm not going to do that with My Bloody Valentine 3-D which sports your usual teens, sex, and a sick killer but looks fantastic.

Tom (Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, however, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame (King) is the only one will believes he's innocent.

Thank God the genesis' at Lionsgate spelled out the 3D effect for us so clearly because at first I was having a hard time understanding what this "3D' wizardry was all about.

Next time, it might also be helpful to see a shot of people lining up and handing over money for a ticket. You know, just to be sure we "get it".

As good as this looks, I might have to take a rain check on this one. That spotlight-on-the-head shot was, as illustrated by the gasping audience, breathtaking and I'm not sure my heart could take all the excitement.

The director Patrick Lussier is also supposed to be making a zombie movie, so that's another point of interest...
