Christopher Webster [Celluloid 12.16.08] movie news horror



Seems like this news should have been released in October but meh, whatever. The good people at Dimension Films just sent us word that Rob Zombie has been once again tapped to write and direct H2, the sequel to his own 2007 reinvention of the horror classic Halloween.

According to the press release, Bob Weinstein had this to say: "Following the success of 2007’s ‘Halloween,’ we are thrilled to be back in business with Rob Zombie, bringing a sequel to theaters. The fans have made it clear – and we agree - that they feel the franchise is in great hands with Rob Zombie."


The man himself, Mr. Z says; "I am very excited to be working with Bob Weinstein again and returning to the world of ‘Halloween.’ The remake laid the groundwork, now it’s time to really take Michael Myers to the next level. I believe we’ve just barely scratched the surface of where we can take this series."

If I'm remembering correctly, quietearth quite likes the Halloween remake. I've never been as hard core a Halloween fan as some of Carpenters other films so I was and still remain sort of on the fence about it.

yeah I loved it, I was rooting for Michael the whole film!
