What the? The Changeling hasn't even hit theaters and we've already got the trailer for Eastwood's next film, Gran Torino? Sure, sounds good. Almost as good as this trailer looks. Grand Torino feels similar to Eastwood's Unforgiven in that he's almost playing an old, tired, version of the characters he used to play in the sixties and seventies. Except, instead of a revisionist take on the "man with not name," here it feels like Eastwood is playing on the Dirty Harry character (perhaps why Grand Torino was original being reported as a new Dirty Harry film).
Disgruntled Korean War vet Walt Kowalski (Eastwood) sets out to reform his neighbor, a young Hmong teenager, who tried to steal Kowalski's prized possesion: his 1972 Gran Torino.
The film looks great and Eastwood still looks like he could kick your ass. It feels small like Bridges of Madison County but heady like Unforgiven. It comes out wide December 17th. Trailer after the break or in HD here.

just saw the movie definite the dirty Harry style. Shoot from the hip not holding back nonsense. The punks get their dues at the end. Having terminal cancer but just like donating your bobdy to help someone in need. Great movie
Clint Eastwood all the way

Typical Hollywood. Great movie and not selected for an Academy Award.
