Christopher Webster [Cathode Ray Mission 10.24.08] Tuvalu post apocalyptic news

On Tuesday, October 21st, the 90 minute pilot episode of BBC's hugely anticipated Survivors re-make was screened at the Apollo West End Cinema in London’s Piccadilly. Many cast members and people from the BBC were in attendance and they even presented the audience with the show's new logo (which I can't find anywhere so it obviously hasn't been released online yet). Below is what Neil Wilkes, an editor at Digital Spy had to say about the screening:

"Bloody brilliant."

Last night I went to a screening of the extended 90-minute premiere of BBC One's new apocalyptic drama Survivors feeling slightly worried... that I might fall victim to the very hype I'd helped create. Disappointment seemed inevitable, and I would spend the latter part of the evening crying into a bowl of cold miso soup.

As it turns out, I needn't have worried. Survivors - or at least, the premiere of Survivors - is great... you can safely allow yourself to get excited without fear of being let down.

Survivors premieres on BBC in about a month and if you're worried you won't be able to see it, don't. The DVD is already listed for a January 5th release date and is available for R2 pre-order.
