anglebender [Celluloid 09.30.08] zombies news video game

Valve's online zombie shooter won't hit store shelves or Steam until November 17th, the 10th anniversary of the release of Half-Life. The very concept of a zombie video game has been around since forever, but I feel one thing has kept the genre bottlenecked: Processor speeds. Body dismemberment simulation isn't something for pocket calculators, and while forensic analysts won't need this software, I sure as heck do. Reenacting every pivotal moment from every zombie flick in existence seems to be the forte of Left 4 Dead, but I haven't even played it yet. Judging by this gameplay compilation, I think I might be right. Go to :46 and you'll see what I mean.

Look for a review in early November!

Actually this is multiplayer ONLY.
And i think it looks awful.
Why can't we have a proper zombie game with SLOW zombies and realistic gameplay mechanics in a big nonlinear world?
There are a bunch of flashpoint and arma mods that execute this perfectly, and it is damn hard and damn scary, eventhough the zombies are very slow.
