Masato Harada's The Suicide Song, which was released in Japan in August of last year is getting a DVD release courtesy of Media Blaster's Tokyo Shock label here in the states on September 23rd. Here's a breakdown: "High school girls get mixed up with a Japanese version of 'Gloomy Sunday', the singing of which results in one's death. With the help of a third-rate gossip magazine reporter, they try to solve the mystery and horror behind the song. They come to know just how real an urban legend can be." It sounds strangley like the Ringm, but the footage looks fantastic. Link to English subbed trailer and pre-order after the break.
