While known to us as the Australian wunderkind who's first scifi actioner Gabriel won our hearts with its unique story and amazing visual prowess, I have a feeling that Shane Abbess is probably known for something else around Hollywood. And that's being a guy who can bring a successful film in on a small budget. By last report, Gabriel was only made for around $200,000, which is truly a feat when you see the finished product, so it's perhaps not surprising that he's already been tapped by Universal to develop Source Code, a science fiction thriller written by Species 3 scripe Ben Ripley.
