I read the first three of Clive Barker's Books of Blood around the time I was 16 and was seriously fascinated. While I could never get into his full-length work, the shorts inside were brilliant and now that Barker is on the cinematic scene I hope we see more of them getting made. The one in question here is the house which is a gateway to hell, and if you remember it, you know if the adapatation is well done, we're in for a serious treat. "Paranormal researcher Mary Florescu's investigations lead her to Simon McNeal, a college student who appears to be channelling messages from the dead. As their erotic relationship develops the line between the worlds of the living and the dead become blurred and finally collapse in a stunning and astonishing climax." The writer/director John Harrison was executive producer on Romero's Diary of the Dead, so check out the link to stills after the break!

Same here - I read the Books of Blood ages ago when I was in my late teens, and I vaguely remember that story. Might have to check them out again.
I reckon his other works would be too hard to translate into film - they were hard enough to read!
