Overview:
Set 5 years after the zombie epidemic started in Akron, Ohio, the world has been overrun with the living dead. In response, the government has set up a Zombie Squad to deal with matters. One specific squad gets assigned to go back to Akron with the Doctors too look for a cure for the epidemic.





The Story:
At the beginning, we see the mass movement of zombies in Akron, but it quickly progresses to 5 years later "somewhere in Virginia". Zombie Squad 205 shows up at a farmhouse, presumably to protect the occupants, but only to find them already dead. Here we get a taste for the unintended humor in the movie, when the zombie head Richards cuts off bites off his fingers.





After leaving and going back to DC where zombie squad headquarters is, they check in with the "mad" doctor Moullson. He has the walking dead caged up, and is performing experiments, like hooking one up to a voice synthesizer chip so it can speak. Guess what it says? You got it right! "I'm hungry!". Anyways, he says they can get the formula for the "virus" so they can make an antidote in Akron where the outbreak started, and they all head out from there. No more, no spoilers.





The Rating:
Initially I was going to give this movie a 6, but with all its cheapy goodness, I had to give it a 7. No, I won't lie to you, the plot is thin, the dialogue and acting are bad, but with it's old skool goodness and great zombie effects I loved it!

Someone left a comment on IMDB saying, "This is not a long lost zombie classic", well, I have to disagree, I would easily put this in my top ten favorite zombie flicks.





Oh and it's real hard not to notice, but all the characters are real careless around the zombies. Ever feel like yelling at the screen? This will do it for ya.

the dead next door is one fo them zombie movies wer everything is right just a little comedy a lot of what i like to call home made fx the plot line is good

This was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid. The best of the film? Michael Grossi without doubt!!He was my platonic love, I would have given anything to meet him :p
I hope he and the rest of the actors are doing well.

Michael Grossi is currently writing a movie, we should be hearing more from him soon. He's actually better looking now
