While some may not recognise the little town of North Bend, Washington, "Twin Peaks" superfans will certainly recognize the town as the original shooting location of the cult show. It's not the first place you'd think of as a "go-to" location for a genre film festival but that's exactly what this town will turn into from August 15 to 18, 2019.

Celebrating its second edition, this year's North Bend Film Festival will open with the US Premiere of Jon Mikel Caballero's The Incredible Shrinking Wknd and close with the acclaimed documentary Circus of Books about the famed bookstore and gay pornography shop of the same name in West Hollywood.

Other notable titles in this year's line-up include the US premiere of Rodney Archer (Room 237 (review), The Nightmare (review)) and David Lawrence's El Duce Tapes, about Eldon "El Duce" Hoke, the misogynistic and all-around abhorrent front-man of the controversial '90s shock metal band The Mentors, Jennifer Reeder's Knives and Skin, Joe Begos' Bliss, Andrew Wonder's Feral (trailer), and Dan Berk and Robert Olsen's Villains among others.

The festival also includes an expansive program of VR works as well as the world premieres of two immersive events: the immersive theatre Follower and an augmented reality project tilted Ghost.
