Christopher Webster [Celluloid 07.16.18] France apocalyptic scifi

In the new french disaster film, Dans la Brume (aka Just a Breath Away), a family attempts to survive a massive, apocalyptic catastrophe in Paris.

In the tense film, a severe earthquake knocks the power out across all of Paris in the near future, releasing a large scale toxic and fatal plume from under the city. In the aftermath 99% of the human population in city is killed leaving on high apartment uncontaminated.

The first trailer is available for the film directed by Daniel Roby and it looks great.

Dans la Brume just had its debut at Fantasia Film Festival.

After watching Night Eats the World (French Zombie movie), I have to say I really like the French take on PA films. I've seen a few others dating back to the City of Lost Children that got me hooked on French cinema in general. I'll definitely check this one out.
