I have to say, it hurts my heart a tiny little bit to see Pinhead brought down to this level.

Admittedly, there hasn't been a good Hellraiser movie since the early 90s (arguably since the original but I give at least the first 2 sequels a shrugging pass) but that's not for lack of trying.

Hellraiser: Judgment, the tenth (!) movie in the franchise, now has Pinhead, played by Paul T. Taylor, as a serial killer (for real?!) being tracked down by two detectives played by Randy Wayne and Alexandra Harris. To keep things interesting, Pinhead is also accompanied by a variety of fan favourite Cenobites because, why not?

Hellraiser: Judgment is written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, a makeup effects designer who has also directed a couple of features. Tunnicliffe's expertise in the crafts side of the equation explains how and why Pinhead and his buddies look so badass. I just wish the story was more interesting.

Hellraiser: Judgment will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD on February 13.

Recommended Release: Horror Classics: (Hellraiser / Hellbound: Hellraiser 2)
