Christopher Webster [Celluloid 09.07.17] Brazil horror thriller

Vicente Amorim's motorcycle maniacs entry, Motorrad, will have its world premiere in the "Contemporary World Cinema" section at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival on September 11.

Amorim was previously at TIFF in 2008 with the Viggo Mortensen Nazi film, Good.

In the Brazilian horror/thriller, a gang of young dirt-bikers on a ride across an isolated region of Brazil find themselves being hunted by a machete-wielding band of motorcyclists intent on killing them all.

Paris-based WTFilms announced today that they will handle all sales for the film on the ground at TIFF, so here's hoping the film gets a deal and release date soon.

Motorrad was written by LG Bayao, based on characters created by comic book author, and Marvel staffer, Danilo Beyruth.
