John Connor [Celluloid 12.26.16] scifi action thriller



A key scene from Beyond Skyline, the sequel to Colin and Greg Strause's original alien invasion film, jus leaked on Christmas day. Featuring a number of tentacled monsters doing battle with insurgents it features some well integrated special FX, perhaps not surprising as the film is the debut of FX wizard, writer/director Liam O'Donnell.

O'Donnell provided FX work for other large films like Iron Man 2 as well as acting as a producer for the original Skyline.


Synopsis:
A tough-as-nails detective embarks on a relentless pursuit to free his son from a nightmarish alien warship.


The film's cast includes Frank Grillo (Purge: Anarchy), Bojana Novakovic (Drag Me to Hell), Jonny Weston (Project Almanac), Iko Uwais, Callan Mulvey, Antonio Fargas, Pamelyn Chee, Yayan Ruhian, Jacob Vargas, Valentine Payen, Betty Gabriel, Jack Chausse, and Kevin O'Donnell.
