Fans of the V/H/S series may recall seeing the credit Radio Silence and wondering what, who, how...? Well, as it turns out, Radio Silence is not a Daft Punk type filmmaking robot collective, but a team of four directors who adopted the moniker in the face of a last-minute decision prior to that film's first screening.

The directors' real names are Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, Justin Martinez and Chad Villella and after their Youtube short, Mountain Devil Prank Fails Horribly (yes, I know I get the title wrong in the interview!), caused a stir online, they were catapulted into the LA indie scene where they've managed to keep working steadily.

In Southbound, their latest collaboration with VHS alumni, producers Brad Miska and Roxanne Benjamin, the foursome offer up two segments, "The Way Out" and "The Way In", which open and close the fantastic anthology.

Synopsis:
On a desolate stretch of desert highway, weary travelers—two men on the run from their past, a band on their way to the next gig, a man struggling to get home, a brother in search of his long-lost sister and a family on vacation—are forced to confront their worst fears and darkest secrets in these interwoven tales of terror and remorse on the open road.

Southbound hits select theaters February 5, and then haunts VOD Tuesday, February 9, 2016
