The first full trailer for Insidious: Chapter 3 arrived just before Halloween last year and thought it didn't offer many details, it did provide a good idea of what we could expect from the third entry into the franchise, and a prequel at that: more jump scares.

The new movie, written and directed by Leigh Whannell stars Stefanie Scott as a young girl who is being haunted by a supernatural entity. Her father, played here by Dermot Mulroney, convinces medium Elise Rainier, Lin Shaye reprises her role, to help them deal with the terrifying ghost.

It's exactly what you might expect from a Blum House project: a nice looking horror movie that offers up a few jump scares, but man, there are some really disturbing images in the trailer, one of which is a direct rip off of one of the scenes from the Twilight Zone movie that still creeps me out, which makes me think I may actually want to check out this prequel after skipping Insidious: Chapter 2.

for Insidious: Chapter 3 opens June 5.
