When it comes to the world of practical effects, Tom Savini is kind of a god. If you grew up in the 80s watching horror movies, chances are you've seen and perhaps even been had nightmares thanks to Savini's work.

Director Jason Baker is in the process of finishing work on Smoke and Mirrors: The Story of Tom Savini which chronicles the effects master and actor through his career. Rather than cut together a trailer, Baker has released an extended preview of the documentary, focusing mostly on Savini's work on Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn.

Baker has been working on the project since 2011 (he launched a successful Kickstarter in 2011) and it was supposed to be ready in June of this year though from the notes attached to this preview which Baker released today (this is not the final edit and color and sound correction still haven't been completed), the movie is still in post production. Hopefully we'll have a few more details soon.
