I first saw director Scott Belyea's work last year when the director and his team presented one of the best shorts I saw in 2011 and the entire thing was shot, edited and post produced in 48hrs. Get ready because Belyea is at it again and this time, he and his team, which includes director of photography Scooter Corkle (you may remember him from the excellent Chloe and Attie (full short)) had more than two days to get their new project together.

The Horizon Project, which takes place in a dystopian future where "survivors of a biological pandemic find refuge with Horizon Corporation, a company spearheading the global rebuild" has been shot and edited but needs a last bit of help to push it through post production. The goal is to finish this to the highest level of quality possible, taking the movie from great to awesome. If you're as impressed as I am and find yourself wanting to give the crew a hand, you can do so by dropping them a few bucks on the official Kickstarter campaign page, securing a couple of special goodies along the way (including a pretty awesome gas mask).

Below is a taste of the goodness in the form of a short clip, but be sure to check out their page for a great assortment of stills and a production story which, on its own, is sort of fantastic. The promising movie seems like a bonus.
