It's hard to fathom it watching this trailer for the series' fifth installment, but Wrong Turn was actually a decent cannibal thriller starring Eliza Dushku. Now it's like some horrible parody of its own violent excess and honestly, I may be in the wrong f'ing theatre as the trailer indicated, but there is nothing in this that makes me want to partake.

The cutting-edge terror continues when a small mining town hosts the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where crowds of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But a killer celebration soon gives way to a blood-soaked feeding frenzy when an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are just dying for a good time..

Really: "after the disaster that was number four." The fourth film was full of parody and self-awareness. Declan O'Brien knows what a certain group of horror fans want: nudity, blood, and a few laughs. All of these were in the fourth film. And, how could you not like a human fondue with the victim still alive? That is brilliance. Pure enjoyment and a guilty pleasure.

I'm know I may get flamed for this but I think the hillbilly cannibal slasher flick is starting to get old. I mean how many times can you do young people in the woods run into hillbilly cannibal and the fun starts. Come on guys, I mean really!
