Christopher Webster [Celluloid 11.24.11] Norway movie trailer horror

A new English subtitled teaser trailer has hit for Norwegian witch horror, Dunderland. The film co-directed by Finn-Erik Rognan and Nils J. Nesse is supposedly based on true events and oozes a ton of atmosphere. We love our Scandinavian horror around here, so hopes are high for this one.

Synopsis:
1695: A young maiden by the name Johanne Nilsdotter is accused of witchcraft. Her persecutors end her life in the bottomless pits of the Djupkista waters in the Dunderland valley. In the years to follow, numerous horrendous events and tragedies strike the valley.

2011: The young, aspiring theatre director Laura arrives in the Dunderland valley. Together with an ensemble of Norway’s premier actors, she will put on a play at an old, abandoned Boy Scout camp. They are soon made aware of the Dunderland valleys dark and bloody history. Then the star actor disappears..

Dunderland stars Miriam Prestøy Lie, Reidar Sørensen, Sven Henriksen, Brage Bang, Marit Østbye, Hanne-Marte Sørlie, Ingar Helge Gimle, Kai Taule and Nils Utsi.

The film sees release in Norway in January.
