I don't mean to kick at Zone of the Dead (because lord knows we did that enough here), but since the film recently changed its name to 2012: Apocalypse of the Dead for it's VOD release I thought I'd let you all in on a little secret. They've done this only to trick you into buying it. How, you ask?

Studios and sales teams quickly learned that since VOD channels and online retailers like Netflix list their titles in alphabetical order it helps to start your titles off with a number. That's why almost every new Asylum title starts with a number (and if it doesn't now, chances are it will come time to list on VOD channels). You get seen.

Of course there is nothing inherently wrong with doing this. We've all got a AAA1 Pizza in our local phone books, right? Thing is, nobody orders from them unless they're drunk or everyone else is closed. Or we're just lazy. It's up to you, but my advice is to dig a little deeper for quality.

Again, good luck to Zone of the Dead. They are just my example here.

Nice insight Chris. That makes a lot of sense.

As for the film, I made it through 5 minutes of this film before finding the off button.:/

To reach the "top" they should put in "_" in front of the movie name, and you are at the top, to beat that put "$". LOL

Yep - I experienced the same thing myself, but we fought for World of the Dead and screw the VOD stuff.
