It’s some sort of unspoken truth that when boys hit puberty, they also turn into sex addicts. They may not be having sex all the time but they’re thinking about it every waking minute (OK, every minute period). It’s not something that is reserved “just for boys” but it’s amazing how many films are made about the subject on a yearly basis, likely as many as there are of girls falling in love for the first time. Can we please break the cliché?

The difference from most of the other teen sex comedies I’ve seen and Karen Bullis’ The Grover Complex is that this one actually looks good. A bit of an American Pie indie style and that’s something I can get behind. The other thing I love about this production: it’s directed by a woman and the cinematographer? Also a woman. A very pleasant surprise in both instances and one one I hope will bring a different sensibility to the material.

cmon. u serious? the student projects from our uni are better than this. the dialogue levels are way off. acting is mostly mediocre at best and the soundtrack is somewhere between wannabe retro and downright awful.

To the first comment, have you actually seen this film? I've seen it and your comments are way off. The soundtrack has nothing to do with retro and the acting has been nominated for awards. Jealous much? Bitter much? Obviously if you'd write a comment like that.
